for this shoot i purposfuly unfocused the camera by switching to mf preventing the camera from fixing the focus, once starting i decided i enjoyed the effect of the orbs of light created by traffic lights etc so began to focus heavily on those
Development
i then decided to make hand made slides of the images by printing them our small on acetate and making cases which i printed in the cricut, i then cropped and leveled the slides to create high contrast
Dark room developments
I then took the hand made slides in the dark room placing them in the enlarger layering multiple at a time to create abstract images, i like how the orbs of light from the images make the images look almost microbial , i decided i preferred the use of the circle slides for the photograms so continued on with them. i then leveled them in photoshop adjusting the black and white values to create sharp contrast and gradient mapping on images that i felt needed it.
Inverted
i then decided to experement by inverting the dark room images to further distort them
these images use negative space to enhance the focus as well as high contrast
